In Athens Pedini Amati meets the Ministers of Saudi Arabia and Italy
Minister of Tourism Federico Pedini Amati’s Hellenic trip, despite its very short duration, has proved to be particularly fruitful. In fact, on the sidelines of the very important participation in the UNWTO Regional Assembly, a series of prestigious bilateral appointments were organized for the Ministry. After the signing of the cooperation agreement in the tourism sector with the Greek Minister of Tourism Haris Teoharis, yesterday, Pedini Amati met HE Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia who expressed his willingness to undertake a path of collaboration on tourism with San Marino and to organize a visit to the Republic in the near future that will allow him to deepen the issues already addressed and to get to know San Marino authorities to evaluate the opportunities for cooperation. Saudi Arabia attended the UNWTO Assembly in Athens with the aim of setting new paths for tourism development. The meeting turned out to be very interesting, the Arab Minister presented his country's investment projects also abroad. On his return, Minister Pedini Amati will inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Congress and will evaluate the possibility of organizing the visit as hypothesized. The meeting of the Minister with the Italian Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia, with whom during the Assembly there was maximum sharing on the issues dealt with, has proved to be very constructive, as it has already happened on previous occasions. Garavaglia confirmed his intention to participate, next July, in the general assembly of the administrations involved in the Territorial Tourism Board project launched by San Marino.
